Siebel Administrator is different domain all together. Siebel Admin doesn't need to know about Development, Scripting, Workflow etc. Though it would be an added advantage if that person has some idea about EAI or EIM.
Main Responsibilities of a Siebel Admin are
For Siebel Admin, it would be an added advantage, if we know scripting. It could be Batch scripting, Shell scripting or Perl scripting. Scripting helps in resolving our work in a faster and error free manner.
This blog would be dedicated to Siebel Admin role. I would be explaining about scripts and their used too. Other than Siebel Admin, I would be discussing about BI Publisher Installation, OSES Installation and OAM & WebGate Installation.

- Install Siebel Servers and its components
- Manage Siebel Servers and Components
- Manage Web Servers such iPlanet and IIS
- Upgrade of Siebel Versions
- Troubleshoot Seibel Server Related issues
- Working on Crash files & FDR files
- Setting up Environment for Developers
- Deploying of SRF and Repositories from one environment to others.
- Coordinating with various teams such Web Server, Database, Operating System etc
- Coordinating with Oracle regarding SR and resolutions
